RESEARCH HUB
HingeCraft Research Hub is the network’s materials and print R&D engine. It moves new resins, powders, and processes from simulation to certified production through a staged pipeline—modeling, lab testing, field trials, and standards sign-off. Results are captured in Printer Design Kits (PrDKs)—locked, repeatable recipes—and linked to each part’s Digital Product Passport (DPP) for traceability. The hub maintains a living Materials Library with properties, EHS data, sourcing, and approved use cases; runs validation rigs for durability, safety, and yield; and streams telemetry (quality, uptime, scrap, CO₂e) for analytics and compliance. Universities, suppliers, and certified micro-factories co-develop and prove materials inside this framework, so any node can print with confidence on day one. The outcome: faster adoption of safer, greener materials, consistent quality across thousands of printers, and auditable data that lets brands and cities buy better with evidence—not claims.
